Soldier's Funeral, Texas Style
Here is a REALLY GREAT post over at Jack Army.
There is something about growing up in a small town. People know who you are and what has happened to you all your life.
Such was the case in this small Texas town, when Vickie Pierce's nephew James, who was killed in Iraq, funeral services were held. The town fell out, nearly 1000 people attending the service and many more along the procession route waving and holding flags.
What an expression of patriotism and compassion.
The link is here, complete with pictures. Read it, please, and reflect on the sacrifices our Military faces daily while in pursuit of freedom for others.
